New Lumar platform features:
AI-powered custom metrics
We’ve expanded Lumar’s data collection capabilities with powerful AI-driven custom metrics. You can now easily extract and analyze more targeted elements from your website and easily take action, including:
- Extract a specific word or phrase from a specific part of HTML (e.g. tag).
- Create segments based on unique data.
- Identify pages missing specified sections or elements (e.g. breadcrumbs).
- Identify pages with a specific number of elements on them.
- Capture all instances of a given URL.
You can now configure up to 25 custom metrics per project, available during Step 4 of project setup in the Lumar platform.

AI bot traffic reporting (via Logz.io integration)
Our integration with Logz.io now offers enhanced visibility into AI bot activity on your website. You can now:
- Compare the proportion of requests from Google vs AI bots.
- Identify which AI bots are hitting your site most often — and when.
- See which pages are most frequently hit by AI bots.
- Check whether AI-requested pages are actually available and responding to those bots.
Plus, a new AI agent in Logz.io can answer questions and find the insights you need directly from log file data.
New project tagging for easier organization
You can now organize your Lumar projects more efficiently using project tags to help organize your website optimization projects and site crawls. With our new tagging system, you can:
- Apply multiple tags to a single project
- Reuse the same tag across various projects
- Filter and search project views based on tags
This makes it faster to locate relevant projects and reduce dashboard clutter.

New ‘reporter’ user role
The new ‘Reporter’ user role in Lumar offers a new permission level between viewer and editor.
Reporters have limited editing rights but can actively engage with reports and monitoring tools.
Reporters cannot:
- Create, edit, or delete projects
- Start or delete crawls
But they can:
Analyze:
- Build and manage custom reports and tasks
- Share reports with teammates
- Unarchive completed crawls
Monitor:
- Set up and manage alerts
- Sort table data
- Interact with top-level charts and dashboards

You’ll also benefit from our ongoing research into emerging AI understanding factors, ensuring your GEO efforts align with the latest developments in AI search.

Optimizing for AI inclusion
Lumar’s upcoming AI inclusion reports will help ensure your content is recognized as trustworthy and current by AI search systems. This reporting will include:
- Semantic Relevance: Reports to identify content with semantic relevance issues, so they can be optimized to improve performance in both traditional and AI search.
